The Niagara Falls Review has been the newspaper of record in Niagara Falls since 1879. Publishing daily since the 1930s, the Review has always been the advertising market share leader in Niagara Falls. In terms of readership, the review outsells it's nearest competitor by a ratio of nearly five to one, in a market in which eight dailies are available. All official notices and major retail announcements appear in The Review, as do leading preprint accounts. The Niagara Falls Review is also the only daily newspaper serving Fort Erie and the only daily offering extended market coverage in both Fort Erie and Niagara-on-the-Lake. Hence, they can claim to offer "lake-to-lake coverage" (Lake Ontario south to Lake Erie).
