Established in 1936, the Botanical Gardens consist of 99 acres
of beautifully maintained gardens, including perennials, rhododendrons,
and azaleas. There is a formal parterre garden on the grounds,
as well as shade, herb and vegetable plantings. The world famous
rose garden is a sight to behold, featuring over 2,400 roses!
Follow the footpaths until you get to the Butterfly
Conservatory and butterfly garden. The arboretum in these
gardens contains one of Canada’s finest collections of ornamental
trees and shrubs. Spend an hour or more just wandering around
the beauty.
Imagine the fun of taking a guided tour of the gardens via horse
& carriage; that option is available in the summer months!
The gardens are located at 2565 Niagara Parkway, 6 miles north
of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.
