This 80 acre orchard was established by the Kurtz family in 1941, and the fourth generation of the family works there to this day. The micro-climate produces sweet and tender fruit rivaling the best peaches from Georgia and Florida.
The fruit is tree-ripened and full of flavor. Visitors to the country market love the fact that they serves up baskets of crackers with 29 flavors of home-made jams, preserves, honey and maple syrup, various spreads, samples of nuts, candies and more. Harvest seasons:
- June –strawberries
- July - sweet and sour cherries, plums
- August - peaches; September - pears, apples
- October - pumpkins, grapes
Open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The orchard’s address is 16006 Niagara Parkway, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario just a short drive out of Niagara Falls.
